Why Bloom Matters
Suicide is the second leading cause of death among 10 to 19 year olds.
New health report for California shows 34% increase in teen suicide (between ages 15 and 19) over the past 3 years significantly higher than national increase of 25%
Factors include social isolation and a reported increase in bullying and cyber-bullying.
One in five California students surveyed by their school districts have thought about killing themselves.
While we were their age at one time, we were never their age at this time. The students need additional support. If we help now, we can change a life forever.
